Will Southland Move To TNT?

Four days after the abrupt cancellation of sophomore series "Southland" by NBC, chatter intensifies that the gritty cop drama may find a second home at TNT.

TNT was an obvious choice as it shares a corporate parent with Warner Bros. TV, which produces the critically praised series with studio-based John Wells Prods.

But sources on Monday indicated that talks between the two sides are advancing.

"We continually look at all programming opportunities that fit our portfolio of brands," TNT said in a statement.

"Southland," which stars Benjamin McKenzie, shot six episodes of its second season before being shut down by NBC last week.

TNT has been active in the cop drama genre, from its biggest hit, "The Closer" to its most recent offering, "Dark Blue," both from WBTV's sister Warner Horizon.

TNT has yet to decide on the future of "Dark Blue," which recently wrapped its first season

Hmm als ze een keuze moeten maken tussen Southland en Dark Blue dan toch liever Dark Blue. Als Southland er naast kan komen, laat Southland dan maar komen!

Mee eens. Dark Blue heeft toch net wat meer te bieden vind ik. Zoals ik ook al ergens anders las is Southland vaak wat traag.

Southland is wel realistisch maar zuigt door de trage scenes.. Dark Blue is daarentegen veel sneller en spannender:*) Ik zou zeggen investeren in Dark Blue en Southland niet voor een paar eps kopen wat daarna toch wordt gecancelled;)

Don’t Expect TNT’s Deal For Southland To Produce Any More Episodes
Under the terms being negotiated, TNT will buy the seven episodes that ran last spring as well as the six new episodes that Warner Bros. and John Wells Productions made for NBC. The show is not going back into production because TNT will decide whether to order additional episodes of “Southland” after it sees how the drama performs. The show isn’t expected to make its cable debut until after the new year, and the new episodes might not run until late February or early March.

ik hou van southland en hoop echt dat het weer verder gaat!weet iemand al nieuw erover.dark blue nog nooit gezien maar nadat ik de reacties hier gelezen heb ga ik ff een paar aflev downloaden.is dat er nog wel steeds op tv>

dark blue is ook wel geinig maar southland is meer als the shield, en als je daar maar een klein beetje op lijkt heb je het recht al om minimaal 6 seizoenen te maken!
